Manchester United are prepared to offer a new contract to the 17-year-old forward Mason Greenwood, who finds himself as backup to Marcus Rashford.
After an impressive performance in the academy setup, Greenwood has been provided with a number of opportunities in the first team by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The teenager already has one start and six substitute outings under his belt in the 2019/20 Premier League season.
Despite having only signed a deal late in 2018, The Athletic claims that the English youngster is on the brink of signing an extension to his contract at Old Trafford.
The report suggests that Greenwood will be handed terms of around £25,000-per-week, including a number of bonuses.
