Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren is reportedly the subject of interest from Bayer Leverkusen.
The 30-year-old defender has been strongly linked with a move away from the Reds, having fallen behind the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez in the pecking order.
The Serie A outfit AS Roma had been credited with a firm interest in the 30-year-old Croatian, although the Merseyside giants are believed to have called off the player’s proposed move to the Stadio Olimpico at the latter moment.
According to Bild, Bayern Leverkusen are hopeful of signing the 2018 World Cup finalist, with the German club viewing Lovren as the ideal addition to bolster their options in defence.
The report suggests that Die Werkself are interested in a season-long loan move, although it remains uncertain whether the club would want to include a permanent option in the deal.
Lovren has made 13 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last term.
