Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes before the end of the week.
The Red Devils constantly linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old winger, who contributed 32 goals and 18 assists in 53 appearances for the Portuguese giants during the 2018-19 season.
The 20-time English champions are said to be confident of closing a deal for the Portugal international before end of the week, with his club also keen for a resolution when it comes to the player’s future.
According to O Jogo, United are preparing to place a £49 million offer on the table, but Sporting may reject the bid as they want a figure closer to £70m.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the playmaker, whose contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade is valid until 2023.
