Manchester United have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
The Red Devils are widely expected to sign a new centre-back this summer and have been strongly linked with a move for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.
However, according to Turkish Football, the 20-time English champions have now made a surprise enquiry for Juve centre-back Merih Demiral, who could find it difficult to secure regular football at Turin during the 2019-20 campaign following the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax.
Demiral, 21, only joined the Old Lady from Sassuolo earlier this month.
The Turkey international could be available for £35m this summer, cheaper than any deal for Leicester’s Maguire.
United have already signed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the current transfer window.
